The Life Wheel

A 15-minute look at the whole of your life, with God at the center. Score where you are today, set the target that is enough for this season, and leave with a simple plan you can live out week by week.

“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.”St. Catherine of Siena

Start your wheel

Take a few minutes to picture the life you want to build, with God at the center. You can create your wheel before sharing any contact information.

Where I am today My target Rings 1 (center) to 10 (edge)

Everything turns around Him.

Your target can be less than 10. If you want to be fit but don't want to live at the gym, a 9 may be your 10. Click any title to rename it.

Add an area

Your focus plan

Pick no more than three areas. For each one, describe what your target looks like, name what will close the gap, and choose one habit that reflects who you want to be. What you do then flows from that, and what you have becomes the fruit.

How to use your wheel

The wheel is a snapshot, not a verdict. Your scores and focus plan stay on your device and in your worksheet unless you choose to share them.

Best practices

  1. Score your first instinct. Honest beats impressive. Your scores stay private unless you choose to share them.
  2. Set a target that fits this season. Enough is a real number, and it can be less than 10.
  3. Work on no more than three areas at a time. Focus beats intensity. The others still matter; they simply wait their turn.
  4. Start with the keystone. Growth in your Spiritual life tends to lift everything that rests on it.
  5. Define what your target looks like in things you could see or count, then name what will close the gap.
  6. Choose one habit per area, small enough to do on your worst day and tied to something you already do.
  7. Share only if you choose. A trusted friend, spouse, or coach can help you stay accountable.

“Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.” Matthew 6:33

Be, Do, Have

Lasting change starts with identity. Decide who you want to be, let your habits express it, and the results follow as fruit.

BeWho I am becoming in Christ. “I am a man of prayer.”
DoOne habit that shows it. “10 minutes of prayer before my first shift.”
HaveThe fruit. “I meet hard days with peace.”

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit.” John 15:5

Your weekly review

Fifteen minutes, the same time each week. Sunday after Mass works well.

  1. Begin in prayer. Come, Holy Spirit. Ask to see your week as God sees it.
  2. Give thanks. Where did you see fruit or grace this week?
  3. Review each habit. How many days of 7 did you keep it? Write the number in your tracker.
  4. Notice without condemning. A missed day is information, not failure. “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1
  5. Adjust one thing. Make the habit smaller, move it to a better time, or remove an obstacle.
  6. Schedule next week's first step. Put it on your calendar before you close the review.

Every quarter

  • Retake the full wheel about every 90 days. Your PDF shows the date to aim for.
  • Compare the new shape with your last PDF. Celebrate what grew.
  • Keep an area in focus if it still needs you, or rotate in a new one.
  • Bring both wheels to a coaching session. The change between them is often where the best conversation is.
